Darling River Accommodation
Outback NSW Places to Stay
The Darling River Run is a 730-kilometre adventure along Australia's longest waterway, the Darling River, travelling across Far West NSW.
In the central north of NSW, Lightning Ridge may not be on the Darling River, but the iconic Black Opal town is the best upstream terminus, with the Murray-Darling confluence at Wentworth the downstream terminus.
In between, there are iconic outback destinations and localities like Walgett, Brewarrina, Bourke, Louth, Tilpa, Wilcannia, White Cliffs, Menindee, Pooncarie and Wentworth to enjoy along the way.
As for accommodation, there is everything from 5-Star lodges, luxurious and budget farm stays, iconic pubs, and river RV sites, and camping in a National Park or one of the many iconic farms along the way.
